Vancouver is a great city to experience. It offers an excellent range of dining, shopping, entertainment, arts and cultural activities you would expect of a major city, as well as a an array of outdoor activities such as camping, skiing, snowboarding, sailing, rock climbing, hiking and mountain bike riding, all in close proximity to the city. The city itself is very picturesque and the climate is quite mild in comparison to the east coast. Vancouver is renowned for its multiculturalism and is a tad more relaxed and laid back than Toronto.
Vacancies exist in the Emergency Department, Special Care Nursery (Level 2 NICU), Post Anaesthesia Recovery, Cardiac Catheter Lab.
Nurses should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience and preferably post graduate certificates. Operating room nurses must have a minimum of two years experience. Nurses must be eligible for apply for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of British Columbia.
Successful candidates will be eligible for a $5000 relocation package
Eligibility International Applicant
To be eligible for registration in British Columbia you must have:
• completed a nursing education program deemed equivalent to nursing education programs in British Columbia;
• provided proof of competence to practise as a nurse such as nursing education, practice hours in the previous five years, employment references and registration examination results;
• have no outstanding criminal charges or convictions relevant to the practice of nursing or membership in the Association;
• have satisfactory registered nurse employment references including a reference from a Canadian employer of at least 8 weeks duration;
• have registration in good standing from other jurisdictions, no health problems that impair ability to practise and be fluent in English. Please note: English language fluency must demonstrated at the time of application for registration.
